April 24, 2025 – Catalysis, a pioneering shared security abstraction layer, today announced it has raised $1.25 million in pre-seed funding. The round was led by Hashed Emergent, an early-stage venture firm focused on the Indian web3 ecosystem. Other participants include Presto Labs, Spaceship DAO, Funfair Ventures, Cosmostation, and Crypto Times.. Catalysis is building a unified and connected shared security ecosystem, simplifying the process for developers and node operators to launch and scale decentralized networks.
Catalysis abstracts the complexities of integrating with multiple restaking protocols like EigenLayer, Symbiotic, and Kernel. This allows developers to focus on building their decentralized applications (AVSs) without having to manage the underlying shared security infrastructure. The platform supports modular deployment across various ecosystems, including Ethereum, Bitcoin, and Solana.
"Shared security is transforming how we build and secure decentralized networks," says Abhishek, co-founder of Catalysis. "Catalysis makes this powerful technology accessible to everyone, enabling developers to launch faster and node operators to participate more easily. We're building the foundation for the next generation of verifiable services."
The Catalysis platform offers several key benefits:
- Unified Shared Security: Access economic security from multiple restaking protocols through a single, unified interface.
- Standard Network Stack: Simplifies risk evaluation and delegation for curators and Liquid Restaking Tokens (LRTs), making network operation easier for node operators.
- Simplified Node Infrastructure: Run networks on various restaking protocols without custom infrastructure, accelerating onboarding for new networks.
- Accelerated Go-to-Market: Launch networks faster and cheaper with a modular SDK that abstracts away the complexities of shared security.
Catalysis is collaborating with industry leaders in restaking and shared security, including strong networks, leading node operators, shared security protocols, and liquid restaking solutions. This collaborative approach is crucial for redefining economic security and shaping the future of hyperscale decentralization.
Roadmap:
- Q2 2025: Testnet 1, integrating EigenLayer, Symbiotic, and Kernel DAO.
- Q3 2025: Testnet 2, integrating Babylon, SatLayer, and Milkyway.
- Q4 2025: Mainnet launch of the Catalysis Network.
About Catalysis:
Catalysis is the first security abstraction layer for shared security, simplifying the development and deployment of decentralized networks. By unifying access to multiple restaking protocols, Catalysis empowers developers to launch faster, scale seamlessly, and build the next generation of verifiable services.
