Interview

A: Vlad, thank you for taking the time to speak with us today. Your background is quite impressive, with a clear passion for blockchain technology. Could you elaborate on what sparked this passion and ultimately led you to establish Cryptorsy?

[Vlad Svitanko]: Absolutely! My passion for this space stems from a problem I saw early on: Web3 marketing was abysmal. It was all logos and no brand building. Having founded businesses before – two of which I successfully exited – I knew the power of strong marketing. I truly believe that even groundbreaking technology fails without an audience that understands and values it. That's where marketing comes in – it creates demand.

That's why I founded Cryptorsy. I wanted to bring together the best marketing minds and give them a deep understanding of blockchain technology. We built a mini-academy for our team, ensuring everyone had the knowledge to communicate the value of Web3 projects effectively. Our early campaigns took off, proving that with the right approach, we could build brands and generate excitement in this space.

Today, Cryptorsy is a leading Web3 marketing studio because we understand that marketing is not just an afterthought – it's the cornerstone of a successful project. We work closely with our clients to craft compelling narratives, build vibrant communities, and ultimately drive adoption.

A: That's incredibly insightful. You've touched upon a crucial point – the inadequacy of traditional marketing strategies in the Web3 space. In your experience, what are some of the most common pitfalls that Web3 projects fall into when it comes to marketing, and how does Cryptorsy's approach differ?

[Vlad Svitanko]: Many Web3 projects chase short-term hype instead of building sustainable, long-term strategies. They prioritize quick wins over developing a brand that resonates with people, evokes emotions, and remains relevant. They rely on incentivized platforms like Zealy and Galxe, essentially faking engagement and product-market fit by paying users.

Cryptorsy takes a more holistic approach. We develop comprehensive go-to-market strategies that attract genuine, long-term supporters – people who believe in the project's vision and become true brand ambassadors. We focus on organic growth through authentic community building, ensuring the product is used, revenue is generated, and the community is engaged.

Our strength lies in our understanding of growth hacking and our ability to connect the dots between different marketing channels. We are data-driven, focusing on KPIs and measurable results. In fact, we're so confident in our approach that we invest our own money alongside our clients, aligning our interests with their success.

A: You've mentioned the importance of community several times. Could you elaborate on how Web3 projects can effectively cultivate and nurture thriving communities around their brand?

[Vlad Svitanko]: Building a strong community starts with establishing a clear "why." What is the project's core belief? What vision unites its supporters? Whether it's promoting decentralized finance, revolutionizing gaming, or building open-source protocols, a shared purpose is essential.

From there, we apply a "tribe methodology," focusing on:
  • Commonality: Fostering a sense of togetherness and shared identity among community members.
  • Rituals: Establishing regular events, community calls, and consistent engagement
  • Identity: Creating a space where members feel seen, heard, and valued as individuals.
  • Belonging: Cultivating a welcoming environment that goes beyond mere membership to foster a sense of family.
  • Engagement: Encouraging active participation, discussions, and contributions from the community.
Once the foundation is set, we introduce incentives for continued engagement. This could involve rewarding contributions, participation in governance, or spreading awareness.

Remember, quality trumps quantity. A smaller, highly engaged community of true believers is far more valuable than a large, inactive following. The ultimate measure of success? When community members become investors, putting their money where their belief is.

A: Those are incredibly valuable insights. Cryptorsy offers a comprehensive suite of services tailored for the Web3 space. What would you say is your key differentiator in such a competitive market? What sets Cryptorsy apart?

[Vlad Svitanko]: Honestly, I don't find the market all that competitive. Many agencies offer generic social media management services, charging exorbitant fees for little value. They don't delve into the unique needs of each project, whether it's user acquisition, brand repositioning, partnership development, or crafting a compelling narrative.

Cryptorsy stands out because we act as an extension of our clients' teams, offering a full spectrum of growth hacking solutions tailored to their specific goals. Our team of experts dives deep into each project, identifying the most impactful strategies and executing them with precision.

We've built a powerful ecosystem with a reach of over 3.5 million individuals, connecting our clients with potential users, partners, and investors. When you work with Cryptorsy, you're not just getting a marketing agency – you're gaining access to a network of opportunities and a dedicated team committed to your success.

A: That's a powerful message. As we look ahead, what are your predictions for the future of Web3 marketing? What trends do you see shaping the industry in the coming years?

[Vlad Svitanko]: We're on the cusp of a new era in Web3 marketing, one defined by professionalism, data-driven strategies, and a deeper understanding of user behavior.

Here are a few key trends I see shaping the future:
  • Data-Driven Strategies: We'll see a shift towards more sophisticated marketing campaigns that leverage on-chain and off-chain analytics to personalize messaging and optimize for conversions.
  • Immersive Experiences: AR and VR technologies will play a larger role in creating engaging brand experiences that connect with audiences on an emotional level.
  • Organic Growth and Referrals: As traditional advertising loses its effectiveness, we'll see a greater emphasis on community-driven growth, referral programs, and building authentic relationships.
Cryptorsy's five-step methodology – acquisition, activation, engagement, monetization, and retention – has already helped our clients generate hundreds of millions of dollars. We're excited to continue innovating and evolving our strategies to stay ahead of the curve and empower Web3 projects to achieve their full potential.

A: What trends do you see shaping the industry in the coming years?

[Vlad Svitanko]: Yeah, like I said, the AR, the VR, and the AI in terms of the personalization layer and in terms of building really good experiences for people to interact with video. I think video is going to be—this is massive, right? It is massive right now, but it's going to be even bigger.

Thank you for sharing your valuable insights with us today, Vlad. We're eager to see how Cryptorsy continues to empower Web3 projects and shape the future of this exciting space.

[Vlad Svitanko]:  Yep, thank you so much for having me. It's been a pleasure. So, I think that's a wrap-up here.
